As a four time IronMan Athlete and former Division 1 Runner, Dr. Moore is no stranger to competitions, performance injuries and functional setbacks. Over more than three decades of practicing, she has treated thousands of athletes at all levels of competition including Olympians and professionals in Track and Field, USA Swimming, and Ironman World Championship.

Specializing in Active Release Techniques® Dr. Moore brings a great depth of experience in the world of sports rehab and performance with Strength and Conditioning Specialist, Selective Functional Movement Assessment (SFMA), and Functional Movement Systems (FMS) certifications. 

Driven by a desire to help her patients achieve their goals, whether that’s boosting their performance or recovering from an injury, she meets her clients where they are- calling on her vast repertoire of skills and experience to design a unique program to address their concerns. Her expertise in strength training, physical therapy, functional movement and repatterning, offer clients a working treatment plan that brings results quicker. 

Tammara’s clients range from elite athletes to older adults where she applies biomechanics, functional mobility, proper loading and sequencing of movements to aid in physical rehabilitation, body optimization or maximizing performance. Tammara believes it is vital to build a sound functional foundation for the body before challenging it to more substantial fitness, power or performance goals.

DR. HARRIS MASKET

Dr. Harris is board-certified in Internal Medicine with specialized training in Sports Medicine. With a passion for optimizing health and athletic performance, he is dedicated to helping you feel as good as possible for as long as possible. He believes in personalized care, where each patient’s unique physiology, genetics, and life goals are the foundation of their health plan. Dr. Harris’s background includes working with elite and recreational athletes, serving as a team physician and Chief Urgent Care physician at UC Berkeley, and leading the Performance Lab at Bluewave Medicine. He serves on the Medical Advisory Board for USA Ultimate and is the Team Physician for the Oakland Spiders.

DR. BROOKE BENNIS, D.O.

Osteopathic Medicine

Dr. Brooke Bennis is an Osteopathic Physician who is Board Certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. She began her medical career as an Osteopathic Medical Doctor at Virginia Tech and subsequently completed a specialty residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Indiana University. Following her residency, Dr. Bennis instructed physicians and therapists in musculoskeletal ultrasound and specialized in regenerative and therapeutic musculoskeletal medicine. In addition to regenerative medical procedures, Dr. Bennis treats patients for interventional pain management, sports medicine, and performs Botox procedures for both therapeutic and cosmetic benefit.

DR. PAUL WEHRMAN

Dr. Paul Wehrman offers a powerful somatic experience recognizing the healing potentials and abilities inherent to the body. He specializes in chronic neck and back pain, tension in the muscles and joints, headaches or migraines, poor circulation, high blood pressure and insomnia.

Paul brings 17 years of hands-on experience and teaching. He had a two-year residency at the Esalen Institute in Big Sur, CA where he studied Esalen Massage and Soft Tissue Bodywork, Craniosacral Therapy, and Gestalt therapy. He graduated from Life Chiropractic College West and specializes in the Gonstead Technique.

KEN O’SHEA, ACSM, EP

BRAIN-BASED PERFORMANCE, CRANIOSACRAL, LYMPHATIC RELEASE

Ken brings over 16 years of experience in health and wellness disciplines to Jyzen as an ACSM Exercise Physiologist,  Z-Health certified practitioner, a Wim Hof Method Instructor and a non-physician Osteopath in training. 

He believes the body is there to heal itself and that client Bodywork sessions are about removing  any obstacles to self-healing. Ken begins by evaluating the breath and then moves to an observation of standing and moving posture. Looking through an osteopathic, neurological and biological lens, he is able to assess whether pain is the result of bio-mechanical malfunction or based in a neurological dysregulation.

His guided self-care programs help reduce stress, pain and optimize performance. They  are simple and effective and are designed for clients to do at home. With a practice that includes applied neurology, Osteopathic approaches and breathwork (Wim Hof, Buteyko, and others), Ken offers Jyzen clients unique treatment options to help them better care for their bodies.

KELLY MACDONALD MSPT

Kelly Macdonald is an alumni of UCSF’s esteemed Physical Therapy program, bringing over two decades of experience across diverse health care environments.  Kelly helps people manage acute and chronic injuries, facilitates post-operative rehabilitation, and rectifies faulty movement patterns.  She is passionate about helping people get back to their cherished activities whether it’s returning to sport or simply performing daily activities with minimal discomfort. Through assessing movement, tissue health, and joint mobility, Kelly pinpoints imbalances and empowers clients with the tools needed to optimize function and prevent injury.  

Through collaborative partnership, she tailors personalized treatment plans integrating proprioceptive neuromuscular re-education, gait repatterning, soft tissue mobilization, self myofascial release, and other manual techniques.  Leveraging evidence-based technologies such as winback tecar, shockwave therapy, EMTT, and photobiomodulation, she expedites recovery and mitigates pain while bolstering the body’s innate healing processes.  As a mother, avid surfer, adventurer, and athlete, Kelly appreciates movement’s profound impact on mental, physical and spiritual well-being. She extends compassionate support to individuals at any stage of their healing journey with empathy and expertise.

MURIEL MAYES MONTY, PT, COMT

Muriel Monty is a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist renowned for her expertise in myofascial release techniques aimed at treating and preventing functional disorders of the musculoskeletal and neurological systems.

With a career spanning over three decades, Muriel’s academic journey began at Mount Holyoke College in Amherst, MA. She later graduated cum laude from Howard University’s prestigious physical therapy program in Washington DC and earned her certification as an orthopedic manual therapist from the esteemed Ola Grimsby Institute Seattle, WA satellite.

Muriel’s practice is deeply rooted in manual therapies, with a particular emphasis on myofascial release, soft tissue, and joint mobilizations. These techniques are crucial in alleviating pain, reducing inflammation, enhancing mobility and flexibility, mitigating stress, and promoting muscle balance and overall functionality. She understands that imbalances or restrictions in the fascial system can reverberate through other bodily areas, affecting both physical health and emotional and spiritual well-being.

In her holistic approach to patient care, Muriel integrates her MFR expertise with complimentary, evidence-based therapies such as photomodulation, Winback TECAR, Shockwave therapy and EMTT. Her professional journey is marked by continuous exploration and personal growth, recognizing the interconnectedness of physical, emotional, and energetic aspects of health.

Currently a student at the Globe Sound Healing Institute in Sausalito, CA, Muriel is dedicated to integrating the profound insights of sound, energy, frequency and vibrational therapy into her practice. She is particularly intrigued by the transformative potential of these therapies in affecting the body physically, emotionally, and spiritually. Her goal ( or intention ) is to harness these manual and vibrational forces to enhance the well being and healing of her clients, guiding them toward a deeper understanding of their bodies and the universe around them.
